Conquering Compliance: Navigating the Triple Threat of a Volatile Regulatory Landscape

July 8, 2025

While many organizations may appear to have regulatory compliance under control, taking a deeper look reveals a trio of vulnerabilities.

First, regulations are moving fast and evolving at record speed. In this survey of over 400 audit, risk, and compliance professionals, 40% said keeping up with these changes is their biggest challenge.

New regulations are also converging, covering multiple domains such as ESG, AI, and data privacy, requiring a level of integration that many teams simply don’t have right now. A mere 39% of respondents said they are fully functionally integrated across regulatory compliance, infosec, and risk management.

And last (but not least), compliance efforts are fragmented across teams, slowing down work and resulting in duplicate efforts and poor visibility. Attempts to coordinate efforts may be hindered by data security concerns (44% of respondents) and/or poor communication between different technology systems in use (37% of respondents).

To effectively address compliance in this complex environment, teams must sharpen their focus and centralize efforts. Download this report to explore the survey results in more detail, as well as:
