Q: Is a PowerPoint presentation or handout required?
A: Yes. You should support the presentation. Also you can provide supplemental information like articles, tools, checklists, guides and practical information attendees can reference and utilize post-conference.
Q: Can I post my PowerPoint presentation on the RIMS Web site in advance or
after the Conference?
A: With helping RIMS with its green initiatives, we encourage to upload your handout before the conference so participants may download on their laptops or PDA.

Q: How many attendees are registered for my session?

Q: May I receive a list of the attendees so I know the composition of my
audience?
A: RIMS does not provide such a list because we know that audiences are
widely varied in backgrounds and knowledge. Speakers are asked to develop
a flexible presentation that fits the title and description. However, if its
absolutely necessary to contact the registrants, coordinators have access
to send an email. RIMS monitors all outgoing emails.
Q: How do I find my handouts at the conference?
A: If your handouts were shipped in advance, they will be located in your
session meeting room or you can check with Speaker Services in the
registration area.
Q: How do I find the meeting room?
A: In the back pocket of your badge holder, you will find a Session Location
Guide. This gives you the day, time, session code and room number.
Q: Do I need to be a member of RIMS to become a speaker?
A: No. You should become a member of RIMS if the services we provide
have value to you.
Q: Do I need to be registered for the conference to be a speaker?
A: No. However, we do encourage you to register to take advantage of the
opportunities at the conference.
Q: How do I become a speaker at the RIMS Conference?
A: You may add your biographical and other history information to the RIMS
speakers bureau section. In the event a speaker is needed the coordinator
will search the speakers bureau.
Q: What do I get for being a speaker at RIMS?
A: Registration is complimentary on the day you are speaking. You may
attend Sessions, Lunch, and the Exhibit Hall. RIMS do not pay speakers for
their appearance or for their expenses.
Q: Can all the speakers on the panel be from my company?
A: No. Only one speaker per company.
Q: Is there a place to check emails?
A: Yes. The RIMS cyber station.
Q: Can anyone attend any session that is being offered?
A: Yes, as long as they are registered and the session is not restricted to risk
managers and buyers only. Sessions are on a first-come, first-serve
basis.
