NEW YORK (May 6, 2026) — RIMS, the risk management society®, announced the winners of its series of industry awards presented during RISKWORLD® in Philadelphia. The awards were presented by RIMS leadership during the conference’s four keynote presentations.

RIMS most prestigious honor, the Harry and Dorothy Goodell Award, was presented to Nowell Seaman, recently retired Special Projects Lead, Insurance & Risk Management at Federated Co-operatives Limited and RIMS 2017 Global Board President. This honor pays tribute to an individual who has furthered the goals of the Society and the risk management discipline through outstanding service and achievement.

RIMS Risk Manager of the Year and Risk Management Honor Roll aim to raise the profile of the risk management profession and the outstanding programs practitioners have implemented within their organizations. This year’s Risk Manager of the Year is Jeffrey Bray, Senior Vice President, Head of Global Risk Management at Prologis, Inc. RIMS Risk Management Honor Roll inducted Emily Buckley, Insurance Risk Manager at Specialized Bicycle Components.

The Volunteer of the Year Award pays tribute to individuals for their outstanding performance in furthering risk management at the chapter level. This year’s Volunteer of the Year is Candace Heron, Manager, Claims Management at Toronto Hydro and co-chair/co-founder of RIMS Ontario Chapter’s Rising Risk Professional Network.

The RIMS Rising Risk Professional Award honors up-and-coming risk management professionals under the age of 35 or who have seven or less years of professional experience in the industry.  This year, Tyler Vaughan, Global Risk Manager, Corporate Risk & Insurance at Cook Group Incorporated, was honored for demonstrating exceptional initiative, volunteerism, professionalism, and leadership potential.

RIMS Risk Management Hall of Fame was created to preserve the history and tradition of the profession. This year Jorge Luzzi was inducted into the Risk Management Hall of Fame for his unparalleled dedication to advancing the profession globally.

RIMS Chapter of the Year Award was presented to RIMS Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter (RIMS DFW) for going above and beyond to deliver exceptional resources, programming and opportunities to local members in 2025. RIMS DFW was President Catrina Gilbert accepted on behalf of the chapter at RISKWORLD.

RIMS Community Impact Award recognizes chapters that demonstrate outstanding leadership in cultivating community, professional development, and leadership within the risk management community. The first-ever RIMS Community Impact Award was presented to RIMS Rocky Mountain Chapter for taking exceptional action to support its network of risk professionals and industry partners.

RIMS also presented Chapter Honors to RIMS Los Angeles Chapter and RIMS Saskatchewan Chapter for successfully aligning their programming with RIMS strategic priorities to innovate, develop, engage, and advocate for the risk community.
