RIMS multi-year agreement with the Spencer Educational Foundation was forged to build stronger, more comprehensive and more accessible risk management programs at universities across the U.S.

NEW YORK (September 13, 2023) As part of a three-year agreement, RIMS, the risk management society®, has invested more than $200,000 in the Spencer Educational Foundation to support undergraduate risk management course development at higher education institutions across the United States. RIMS full $250,000 multi-year commitment to Spencer will be fully funded by the close of 2023.  

To date, 14 higher education institutions have demonstrated a commitment to advancing undergraduate risk management academic programs and were awarded Spencer grants funded by RIMS. The institutions that received the grants include:

  • Bradley University
  • Brenau University
  • Fisk University
  • Mercy College
  • Le Moyne College
  • Stonybrook University
  • Temple University
  • Milwaukee School of Engineering
  • New York University
  • University of Cincinnati
  • University of the District of Columbia
  • University of Houston – C.T. Bauer
  • University of Nevada-Reno
  • York University
