The RIMS Political Action Committee is the only national political action committee representing risk managers nationwide before Congress.
We are your voice, your strength, and your access to Members of Congress.
When RISK PAC makes a contribution, it sends a strong, collective and clear message from risk managers to the beneficiary. As the PAC grows, that message resonates louder!

RISK PAC 2016 Information
RISK PAC Mission
1. To educate
congressional candidates and lawmakers about the practice of risk management
and our unique concerns and interests;
2. To provide financial support to the
campaigns of those congressional candidates who share our views or who are in a
unique position to influence policy affecting the risk management profession.
2015 Legislative Successes
In 2015 your past donations have assisted the RIMS Government Relations team with advocating for the successful passage of TRIA, the Policyholder Protection Act, and the Cyber Security Information Sharing Act.
2016 Legislative Focus
In 2016 we will be advocating for a single nationwide standard for security breach reporting, curbing frivolous ADA lawsuits, ensuring captives are not included in the NRRA, flood insurance reauthorization, and against proposals such as a proposed reinsurance tax, that would greatly increase cost to many
RIMS member organizations while reducing market capacity for coverage, to name a few.
It is critical that RIMS and RISK PAC, be
involved in advocating on behalf of risk management professionals; however,
RISK PAC can succeed only through the voluntary support of its members.
By contributing to RISK PAC you are helping to
ensure that we are able to reach those members of Congress most influential and
supportive of our views on a wide range of topics affecting the profession. We also help to keep those members who have supported RIMS in office.
