Spencer Educational Foundation Elects Warren J. Mula to Board 5/12/2009


NEW YORK (May 12, 2009) — Spencer Educational Foundation, Inc. has announced the appointment of Warren J. Mula to its Board of Directors.

As chairman of Aon Risk Services (ARS) U.S. Retail, Aon Corp.'s U.S. risk and insurance brokerage business, Mula is responsible all broking functions and industry-specific business groups. He also has national oversight responsibility for client retention and insurance carrier relations. Having been with Aon for 29 years, Mula's experience encompasses a variety of senior management positions including managing principal of the Northeast region, national head of the Strategic Account Management (SAM) Group and managing director of the Baltimore/Washington D.C. offices. Mula holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Iona College and a master's degree in business administration from Farleigh Dickinson University.

Since 1980, Spencer Educational Foundation has awarded more than $4 million in scholarships and $2.1 million in grants to students pursuing degrees and universities offering programs in risk management and insurance. In 2008, Spencer Educational Foundation awarded more than $437,500 in scholarships and more than $150,000 in grants.
