Are you an employee of a company/organization for which you have risk responsibilities?
Your company is eligible to become a Corporate Member of RIMS and you and a colleague (also an employee with risk responsibilities) will be your company’s individual members (we refer to you as a Deputy member). Both your memberships are included in the $525 annual Society dues*. The membership belongs to the organization, not the individual.
Corporate 3rd Member Discount
If a member organization registers two dues-paying deputy members for
Full Conference passes, any subsequent dues-paying deputy members may register at a discounted rate. (Refer to rates in the Registration Fees at www.RIMS.org/RegisterNow.) Registrations must be paid in full before the discount can be applied.
Do you provide products or services to those in the risk management profession? For instance, are you a broker, underwriter, consultant, attorney, accountant, actuary or outsourced risk manager?
You are eligible for Associate membership in RIMS. Associates have all the privileges of membership except they are not eligible to serve as voting members of Boards or Committees at the Society or Chapter level. Your individual Society member dues are $525 per year*; the membership belongs to you, not to your company/employer.
Are you fully retired from the risk profession? Were you a Deputy or Associate member of RIMS immediately prior to your full retirement?
You are eligible for Retired membership and your Society dues are $100 per year*.
Available to a Deputy, Associate or Educational member who was previously employed in risk management prior to full retirement, and not eligible for any other class of membership.
Are you a fulltime professor or dean in a program providing risk management, insurance, or business education?
You are eligible for Educational membership and your Society dues are $110 per year*.
Are you a current Deputy or Associate member that has been separated from
your current place of employment?
You may be eligible for Affiliate membership status if you have separated from fulltime employment but were either a Deputy or Associate member for at least two years prior to separation. Membership is renewable once, Affiliate status may be claimed for a maximum of two years from the date of separation and terminates upon acceptance of employment.
Are you a fulltime undergraduate or graduate student working towards a degree
in risk management, insurance, or business?
If you are not eligible in any other category, you are eligible for Student membership in RIMS. RIMS has waived Society dues for Student members but you will be required to join and pay applicable dues to your local chapter.
The Student registration fee of $150 includes RIMS membership for up to one year after graduation, once membership form and documentation are provided. Local chapter dues may apply.
Did you earn your bachelor’s degree within the past four years?
As an additional Deputy or Associate member, you may be eligible for a recent graduate discount on membership dues.
