An hour before the Opening Reception and just steps from its location, RIMS will host the Chapter Leaders' Networking Hour.   This meet & greet is an opportunity to network and interact with RIMS staff, members of the Member and Chapter Services Committee and your fellow chapter officers.

Chapter Officers' Lunch & Learn

Join us for lunch and connect with fellow chapter officers during these round table discussions.  We've selected a few topics that will give chapter officers a chance to network and share best practice tips with fellow peers. RIMS staff will also be on hand to share ideas and assist with RIMS tools and resources.  Key topics to be discuss include Membership Retention, Membership Recruitment, Finance, Planning, Volunteer Recruitment and RIMS Web Tools/Resources.

Chapter Spirit Event

RIMS would like to "challenge" you to show your chapter spirit during the Chapter Spirit Event at this year's Annual Conference and Exhibition.  Have your chapter design a "signature look" for all members attending the RIMS Conference - it could be a tee shirt or a hat or a sash or a sign or whatever suits your group - identifying you all as coming from the your Chapter [and don't forget, you can order chapter-specific items through the RIMStore].  Come to the RIMS Booth during the celebration and let us take a photo of your chapter showing its spirit.  We'll share the photo with you (to put in your newsletter or on your website) as well as putting it on the RIMS website.

RIMS 2012 Community Service Day

On Sunday, April 15^th RIMS and Zurich will be teaming up to help Cradles to Crayons with their mission of providing disadvantaged children of Philadelphia with some of the most important basics of life. Community Service Day volunteers will inspect books, pack clothing, sort toys, stuff backpacks and fill orders for local boys and girls.

To make a further impact, RIMS will also be collecting clothing and school supplies in advance of, and during, the conference. We’re encouraging all chapters to collect donations at their upcoming meetings and ship them to RIMS in advance to avoid having to carry them on-site.

Please consider donating the following new or gently used items:

• Coats, sizes newborn – 5/6
• Hats, gloves, and scarves (especially gloves)
• Winter boots
• New socks and underwear
• Pants, sizes 7/8 – 14/16
• Infant car seats
• Baby toys & books
• Sneakers, sizes adult 2-8
• Baby carriers (Baby Bjorn, Snugli, etc.)
• Pack-n-plays
• Crib & bassinette bedding
• Diaper bags
