RIMS Annual Mailing Arriving in Chapter Presidents’ Mailboxes Chapter Presidents should have received RIMS Annual Mailing in their mailboxes this week. The supply of RIMS membership, marketing and training materials should be shared with all Chapter Officers and members of your Chapter. In a few weeks, the Chapter Services team will be calling out to Chapter Presidents to make sure the mailing arrived safely, and to see how things are going within your Chapter. Please don’t hesitate to contact Chapter Services (212-655-6041 or ChapterServices@RIMS.org) if you have any questions or if you’d like to replenish your supply of brochures.

Make sure your Chapter is represented! Notice of this year’s House of Delegates meeting was sent via email this week to all RIMS Delegates. The House of Delegates annual meeting is each Chapter’s opportunity to receive reports on the financial, strategic and tactical status of the Society as well as sharing input from their Chapters directly with RIMS leadership.
RIMS strongly encourages each and every Chapter to ensure that you have a representative at the HOD in Boston on Sunday, April 25 from 8:00 – 11 am.
Delegates are requested to confirm their attendance by returning the signed registration form to Aurea Hernando at ahernando@RIMS.org or fax to 212-655-6065 BY MARCH 25. If your Chapter’s RIMS Delegate is not planning to attend RIMS 2010, please designate an alternate to attend the meeting and vote on behalf of the Chapter by returning the completed proxy form to Aurea, on behalf of RIMS General Council, by April 1.
CALLING ALL CHAPTERS! Express yourselves at the RIMS 2010 awards luncheon! The RIMS 2010 Awards Luncheon is a time when we honor Chapters and individuals for outstanding achievements in excellence and service to the risk management profession. This year we invite all Chapters to showcase their “RIMS Pride” through video and/or photos of Chapter events, meetings, and the like.
Take us “inside” your Chapter and show us what makes you shine! Haven’t captured any 2009 video footage of your chapter? Not to worry - it is not too late. Pick up a FLIP video camera, get creative, and capture the spirit of your Chapter on camera. The best of these video submissions – or a series of photographs if you prefer – will be screened at this year’s RIMS Awards Luncheon.
To upload your videos or zipped images, visit ftp://files.rims.org (Login: fileaccess; Password: rims09ftp) on or before February 28, 2010. If you have questions, or experience technical difficulties, please email Salvatore Chiarelli, Director of Meetings and Events at schiarelli@RIMS.org or call 212-655-6051.
Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to showcase your Chapter to the rest of the attendees at the RIMS 2010 Awards Luncheon on Monday, April 26th.

PERK Partner Highlight: RWH Myers- Effective Construction Auditing for Property Damage Claims The construction auditor bridges the considerable gap between construction and accounting functions by recognizing and preventing risks at every stage of the project, from inception to completion. Construction audits can mitigate the risk that billing issues excluded from an insurance recovery leave the risk manager with an uninsured cost of rebuilding damaged property. To learn more about this RWH Myers’ PERK session, visit www.RIMS.org/PERK and submit your PERK request to PERK@RIMS.org. |
