Environmental Risk Management Strategy (eMS)

“Developing An Environmental Risk Management Strategy (eMS)”

We know a business is profitable if the value it creates exceeds the cost of performing their value activities. Today’s society of growing environmental accountability, i.e. FIN 47, Sarbanes Oxley, ISO 14000, the SEC’s SAB 92 ruling, Brownfield redevelopment, terrorism and more has clearly made environmental issues an everyday value activity. Environmental information is competitive intelligence a business must have to achieve true value in today’s business climate and to develop a proactive environmental Management Strategy (eMS). By completing this course and passing the examination, you will become a certified environmental Strategist (eS) and have daily access to the competitive environmental intelligence for one year.

Environmental Strategist Online Description

Virtually every business in existence has either a direct or in-direct environmental exposure. Businesses with direct environmental exposures are quite obvious like chemical manufacturers, hazardous materials transporters, environmental remediation contractors.

Businesses with in-direct environmental exposures are not quite so obvious, like a retail greeting card shop. You generally do not think about a retail card shop having an environmental exposure. However, when the dry cleaner three doors down in the strip mall, where the card shop is located, has a spill of their dry cleaning chemicals and the mall has to be evacuated for a week while the chemicals are cleaned up, the card shop has just experienced an in-direct environmental exposure.

Due to pressure on businesses to keep up with regulatory change, the majority have operated from a reactive position which means they manage environmental events after they occur. Businesses know they have gained little, if any, value in utilizing the reactive, litigation based strategy so predominate in today’s environmental movement.

For a business to create true value, they must move beyond litigation and government compliance by taking control of their environmental issues. www.estrategist.com is the environmental portal that proactively educates businesses on minimizing risk, maximizing value while optimizing performance.

Here is what one person had to say about www.estrategist.com and becoming an environmental Strategist:

“The online training course sharpened my knowledge of the environmental liability issues affecting all businesses today. The Environmental Strategist certification…has provided me with additional credibility with my clients…and with greater advantage in addressing my client’s environmental liability issues.” SM, Account Executive
