In this module, attendees will examine traumatic and complicated medical conditions. Certain medical injuries pose particular challenges to the claim professional. Soft tissue injuries, conditions requiring long term care and disfigurement are just a few of the types of bodily injury claims that are challenging. Catastrophic injuries such as head trauma, multiple fractures or paralysis also create difficulties in controlling claim costs and balancing costs with appropriate treatment methods.
