Enterprise-Wide Risk Management: Developing and Implementing Workshop
This new, three-day workshop provides the framework for a successful ERM program. No two organizations will implement ERM in the same way; let our expert instructors help you customize a plan that will work for your organization.

You will leave with a written ERM Action Planner that outlines the specific questions you need to answer in order to sell, design and implement ERM.

Why is this course different?
RIMS partnered with the Center for the Advancement of Risk Management Education (CARME) to develop this advanced workshop. It is based on the Enterprise-wide Risk Management: Developing and Implementing textbook published by AICPCU/IIA (the Institutes). The textbook is required reading for the workshop. You can order the publication through RIMStore.
Start with self-study materials from the Institutes and continue your learning process with this interactive RIMS course. The amount of ERM material can seem overwhelming; let RIMS help you identify the key points relevant to you organization.
This advanced workshop not only provides you with the practical technical skills you need to develop and implement an ERM program in your organization, it can also give you a respected industry credential. When you pass the AICPCU/IIA ERM examination you will earn recognition of your achievement:
- If you already hold the ARM designation, you will earn the Associate in Risk Management-ERM (ARM-E) designation.
- If you are not an ARM designee, you will earn a certificate of completion. However, if you should earn the ARM designation in the future, you would also earn the ARM-E designation at that time.
- Instructors
- All instructors have first-hand experience in designing and implementing ERM. The course is structured so they are available to answer questions specific to your organization and offer solutions you can put to use immediately. Gain from the knowledge and expertise of those who have "been there, done that."
- ERM Action Planner
- The course incorporates an ERM Action Planner for you to develop a customized program for your organization and the necessary business cases essential for support from both within and outside your organization. At the end of each learning module you will take some time to answer questions and assemble organization-specific data necessary to sell, design and implement ERM.
- Interactive Format
- RIMS class sizes are limited to ensure maximum interaction and instructor attention to attendee's questions and issues. Discuss common ERM implementation issues and share experiences and expertise with your peers and instructors to work through the tough issues together.
