RIMS 2010 Community Service Day
Sunday, April 25, 2010 - 9:00 am - 3:00pm
Registration and Breakfast: Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, 8:30 am - 10:00 am
Project Literacy Builders- Most reading problems faced by today's adolescents and adults are the result of problems that might have been avoided or resolved in their early childhood years with better access to books and promotion of literacy. In this activity, participants work in teams to help provide an environment that fosters motivation for and exposure to literacy by building and stocking bookshelves that will be donated to a local Boston organization.
You must be registered for RIMS 2010 in order to participate in this event. Once you are registered for the Conference, make sure to pick Community Service Day as one of your sessions.
If you are an exhibitor who wants to participate or if you have general questions in participating in RIMS 2010 Community Service Day, please email the RIMS Meetings and Events Department through our online contact form.
Once you are confirmed to participate, you will be sent a waiver form that you will need to complete prior to the event.
Make Community Service Day extra special for the Kids
As a participant, you can bring an age appropriate book for children ages 5 to 16 to add a special touch to the bookshelves!
Unable to participate in Community Service Day… You can still help!
Do your part to encourage literacy and share the magic of reading by donating a copy of one of your favorite childhood books! RIMS will be collecting books from Sunday, April 25 to Tuesday, April 27 near the Bookstore located at the BCEC Level 1, NE Lobby A. Books will also be collected at the Aon booth #1501.
