RIMS Announces Northern Nevada Chapter  6/30/2009 

Society boasts 81 chapters worldwide 

NEW YORK (June 30, 2009) — Risk professionals in Northern Nevada now have easy access to a Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) chapter—RIMS Northern Nevada Chapter, headquartered in Reno.

"RIMS provides members with exceptional educational and networking opportunities-and chapter involvement is an excellent way for members to access RIMS tools and resources as well as make important connections with other members," says Mary Roth, ARM, RIMS executive director.

"Risk and insurance professionals in the Northern Nevada area now have a close venue to interact with peers and learn the latest industry trends," says B. David Cisneros, ARM, RIMS Northern Nevada Chapter president and director of risk management at International Game Technology.

With this new charter, the Society now has 81 chapters—69 in the United States, 10 in Canada, and one each in Japan and Mexico. The last chapter chartered was RIMS Mexico Chapter in 2004.
