Rick Roberts is in his 22nd year in risk management. He has experience in the financial services (Aetna, Inc.) and manufacturing industries (Ensign-Bickford Industries, Inc). He presently designs, develops, and manages risk management programs for: explosive assemblies for use in aerospace and defense products; pet feed palatant products for cats and dogs; chemical manufacturing operations; wood pellet manufacturing operations as well as programs for real estate management and real estate development projects. Rick has completed the RF, ARM, CPCU, and ALCM professional designations and completed an MBA at the University of Hartford in 2007.
Rick’s current responsibilities also include managing the Medical and Security Departments of Ensign-Bickford Industries, Inc. as well as participating in the formative stages developing ERM programs including business resiliency plans for the corporation.
Rick has been a member of RIMS for all of his 22 years in risk management. He has served with the Connecticut Valley Chapter for 20 years (including the presidency) and has participated on various RIMS Committees: Research (2000-2002), Nominating (2000-2006) and the Quality Advisory Council (2006 to 2008). Rick was named to the RIMS Board of Directors in December, 2007, where he serves as liaison to the ERM Development Committee. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Aircraft Builders Council in London, England.
