Ms. Meszaros has over 20 years of experience in law and risk management. She started out her career as an in-house attorney where she provided legal guidance to business units and committees, analyzed regulatory and accreditation requirements and created systems and procedures to enhance compliance, coordinated responses to government investigations, managed reporting to government agencies, appointed and managed outside counsel, and collaborated in the preparation of public relations responses to the media inquiries. Ms. Meszaros was appointed as chief insurance and risk management professional in addition to her legal responsibilities and developed and implemented a comprehensive risk management program that included risk identification and assessment, loss control, self-administered claims management, insurance, risk financing, and captive management. She also coordinated the safety and quality management programs.
Ms. Meszaros joined an international real estate company in July 2007 as Director of Risk and Insurance Management and was promoted to Senior Director in 2011. She manages the executive risk insurance programs, assesses exposures, establishes renewal strategies, prepares specifications, coordinates marketing with brokers and other service providers, analyzes terms and conditions of insurance contracts, evaluates market quotations, binds insurance coverage and manages special projects. Ms. Meszaros also reviews and negotiates insurance and risk related provisions in leases and other contracts, develops contract review standards, standardizes contract provisions, and consults with internal business units and external resources on contract provisions. She oversees the claims management process, manages complex claims, develops and implements claims management procedures, drafts and implements service provider standards, monitors providers’ performance, prepares specifications for competitive bidding, coordinates reviews and implements other risk management procedures.
Ms. Meszaros graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and from Seton Hall University School of Law with a Juris Doctorate. She has been active with the Risk and Insurance Management Society and has been a board member and officer of the NJ Chapter and is currently Secretary of the New York Chapter.
