Deborah Luthi, ARM, CCSA 

Vice President and Director

In September 2008, Deborah Luthi was named Director, Enterprise Risk Management for Matheson Trucking, Inc.  A diversified national transportation carrier, Matheson Trucking, Inc. has proudly served the United States Postal Service since 1964.  Matheson is a privately-held, family owned and operated company with four operating divisions: Matheson Postal Services, Matheson Mail Transportation, Matheson Fast Freight and Matheson Flight Extenders with a fleet of over 2,700 tractors, trailers and aircraft ground support equipment as well as maintenance facilities across the Western United States.

Deborah, a graduate of the University of Kansas in art education, has focused her creativity for nearly 29 years on the art (and science) of risk management.  She brought to Matheson her transportation experience as risk manager for Sacramento Regional Transit District and two Fortune 500 corporations involved in shipping, manufacturing and oil and gas exploration. Deborah joins Matheson after 20 years with the University of California, Davis where her efforts to promote enterprise risk management will now be put to service in support of maximizing opportunities for Matheson's future growth and diversification. 

Deborah currently serves on the RIMS Board of Directors. Previously, she served on the Executive Committee as Treasurer.  On the RIMS Board of Directors she has also had portfolio responsibility for External Affairs, Professional Development, and Membership and Chapter Services. Prior to service on the Board she served on the Technology Advisory Council, the Executive Council, Nominating Committee, the Strategic Planning Taskforce and Chair of the Membership and Chapter Services Committee. Deborah is a member of the Sacramento Valley Chapter which she helped to co-found in 1991.
